The Ghanaian Crusader can report that a meeting of NDC UK Executives and members of the NDC National Executives from Accra took place at a hotel in london, during which the National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, and the National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, hurled all kinds of expletives and insults and cast aspersions on Former President Jerry Rawlings the founder of the NDC, Chief Imam, the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu and made all sort of accusations against them .
Some members of the NDC UK executive who were uncomfortable with the attitude and comments made by the National Chairman in particular told Ghana Crusader on condition that their names will not be mentioned said their joint meeting was organised to prepare for the special press conference to take place on Saturday 28th September, 2019 with the Ghanaian media in the UK .
However instead of discussing the press conference the National Chairman Ofosu Ampofo launched a tirade of insults on Former President Jerry Rawlings calling him a betrayer ,a traitor and a spent force who spent all his time and energy sabotaging Former President Mahama instead of supporting him and the party .He told the executives that the Former President took bribes from President Akuffo Addo and refused to attend council of elders meetings.
Ofosu Ampofo at the meeting also called the chief Imam a troublemaker and a fraudster who used his office to disturb President Mahama.He told the executives “That old man is always asking us for money “.We are in opposition and he expects us to look after him can you imagine”?
Otumfuo Osei Tutu was not spared. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo told NDC Executives that the stance taken by Dr Omane Boamah and others calling the Otumfuo a liar for saying he persuaded President Mahama to concede the 2016 Elections was justified but for strategic reasons they had to backtrack .He told the executives “Otumfuo Osei Tutu an Ashanti Chief who spends more time chasing small girls instead of developing his kingdom. He wanted to sabotage Mahama and do politics for Akuffo Addo and we stopped him .We don’t fear him and we will deal with him soon”. Sammy Gyamfi also lashed out at President Rawlings and told the executives that they were focused on carrying on the campaign to support President Mahama without him .”For how long are we going to beg this tyrant and bully”? to which some executives applauded.
*The National Chairman and NDC National Executives are in the UK to attend the Annual UK Labour Party Conference and they are expected back in Accra on Monday night.*
