The Honourable Member of Parliament for Okaikoi central constituency and Deputy minister for sanitation, Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah participated today in a cleanup exercise in the Abeka area.
The exercise which was organized by the Okaikoi Central NPP saw the cleaning of choked gutters along the Abeka-Fadama road.
The exercise was attended by the constituency party executives, the NPP UK Organizer, Mr. Kwame Boateng, Mr. Moses Abor, Greater Accra NPP regional youth organizer, many of the party’s young and old and some residents of the constituency.
Speaking to Nsemwoha.com, Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah said the exercise was part of his campaign to make his constituency free of filth in line with the vision of the president, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo
“Every week, for the past six weeks, we go to various areas in the constituency to clean the area and educate the constituents on the need to keep a clean environment” He said.
The NPP youth organizer for the area, Mr. Oliver Baah who also spoke to us reiterated the need to keep the constituency and the nation clean by first of all not littering about and the need for regular cleanup exercises in order to avoid the consequences of a filthy environment.
