The Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has described as ’embarrassingl’ and ‘disappointing’ the Minority’s petition to the United States Ambassador to Ghana, Stephanie S. Sullivan.
The Minority, therefore, wants to trigger investigations under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of the United States of America especially after “a clearer picture is now emerging that the Akufo-Addo Government stands complicit with top functionaries and cronies neck-deep in the putrescent sleaze.”
However, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah disagrees with them.
“We don’t have to downplay our pride, sovereignty; you can collaborate with someone, there is nothing wrong with that but telling them you don’t have confidence in a government and so they should take over an investigation, because of politics; it’s never done,” he said in an interview on Neat FM
