The G.P.R.T.U Super Branch Chairman in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi at the kwadaso municipality says The road minister, Hon Amoako Atta must be arrested over the lost of 1,252 lives in the mid of the year.
In a media dialogue, he pronounce that, there’s a statistics which have been brought out by *GHANA ROAD SAFETY* that , trotro drivers have killed 1,252 people in the mid of the year and these accident mostly happened on our major highways.
However, most of the accidents occurred on Accra – kumasi highway, Tamale – kumasi highway and the results of the accident were lack of road signs and poor mentainance which AMOAKO ATTAH has turn a death ear over it, no driver should be blame for highway accident but rather ROAD MINISTRY. He revealed
ALSO, He will always blame Akuffo Addo for Appointing incompetent personnel like Hon. AMOAKO ATTAH to Manage the road ministry.
MOREOVER, He’s challenging the *ROAD SAFETY* that, they should bring out another statistics about the accident whereby the driver was sleeping while driving, the driver was drunk whiles driving, etc.
He is saying this because Ghanaians always blame drivers when accident occurred but the same people never think of blaming the managements of the road.
He added.
If accident will reduce, road minister must be interdicted. He stated.
The accident will increase if ROAD MINISTER doesnt sit up to put things in order.
