According to the Constituency Executives of Asawase Hon Masawud Mubarick has been suspended and so cannot be allowed to pick form and contest the Primaries of the NDC. The reason being that during a health walk organised in the Constituency, Hon Mubarick Masawudu declared his intention to party faithfuls about his intention to contest when the party open the election process. He was therefore suspended on the basis that the party hadn’t given the greenlight for campaign.
Now casting our minds back to a period after 2016 elections the current Secretary of the Asawase Constituency NDC, Mughis-Mahdi openly declared his intention on various social media platforms about his intention to contest the current position he finds himself occupying in the NDC when the party open nominations. At that time the current NDC Secretary of Asawase Constituency Stephen Gyan was on remand to Kumasi Central Prison following his arrest on 7th June 2016 in working for the party.
Now the question is if declaring your intent before official opening of nominations is grounds enough for suspension why wasn’t the current Secretary Mughis Mahdi Suspended. He signed the Suspension letter not taking into consideration that he has been in a similar situation a while ago. Some animals are more animals than others indeed.
.Just recently when the party opened nominations for Parliamentary primaries, people have come out to contest incumbent MP for Ejura Constituency Hon Bawa Braimah, One Piero came to pick forms at the constituency to contest incumbent MP but his attempt was hindered. This Piero called the Ashanti Regional Chairman Hon Augustus Andrews Nana Kwasi and met him at Tusand Hotel at Ejisu to pick forms.
Since Piero picked his form at the Regional Secretariat he is supposed to submit it there as well. Fast foward to the day of filing the Regional office was shut down for the two working days till the time elapsed. Now the question here is where did Piero submit his form such that he has been included in the list of applicants. Why are we making some people look so NDC than others.
