GHANAWISH.COM CAN CONFIRM THAT, Dwellers of Asuyeboa , steellium and Tanoso in the kwadaso municipality in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi are grumbling about how vehicles have been thumping them down each and every day on the Abuakwa , Tanoso – Sunyani Highway.
In an absolute Dialogue with the media, a resident of TANOSO, Mr Albert verbalize that, vehicle has been knocking innocents souls each and every day and they have reported the issue to the MCE but it’s seems he’s not ready to put things in order to avoid lost of lives.
He added that, there are traffic post on the road but they are not working, there’s nothing like road signs like example ramps which will even allow the drivers to reduce their speed.
However, the contractor for sofoline Abuakwa highway highway also proclaim that, the contract was awarded to China Geo Construction limited in the 2007 and as at now, they are not done with the construction of the road because the Government owes them and that’s why they haven’t switch on the traffic lights on the Highway because they wanted to finished up with the work before come to roadsigs which traffic is included. We will try about possible best to help overcome the accident. He revealed to Ghanawish.com
ALSO, the Assembly Member for Asuyeboah Electoral Area in the kwadaso municipality Pronounced that , we the residents decided to protest over the situation but i calm the situation and went to the MCE to informed him about what’s happening but he ignored me
Then i wrote a letter to Ashanti regional Minister, Hon Simon osei Mensah and he also rejected my offer and asked me to go back to Our MCE so that he will have a talk with him to see how they can treat the situation. But there’s no positive reply from the Minister
As i came back to the MCE, He couldn’t Attend to me and we decided to take the law into our hands and demonstrate against both MCE and REGIONAL MINISTER
so that Akuffo Addo will see the discrepancies we facing. He added.
So we went to the police station to take permit for the demonstration and Both the regional Minister and the MCE followed up and cancelled the demonstration and refused any police station to issue us permit for demo.
We are giving them 2weeks to fix the traffic lights on the highway else, they will see the kind of beast in us. We will block t Sunyani – kumasi road and demonstrate without taking permit from police. We will issue permit to ourselves
We Will set any driver with the mate Ablaze if anybody is been knocked down from today onwards. He revealed he told Ghanawish.com
