People are mostly overjoyed with the revelation, others wondered why such a superstar would come all the way to Africa to record a track with Shatta Waleand the other Africans featured too.
Well the songstress has explained in detail why she decided to go that path.
“It was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers. Authenticity and heart were important to me.” She said.
Because the album is themed after the ever popular Lion King Movie, She wanted the authentic African feeling found Shatta Wale, Producer guilty beats and the other Africans featured to be up to the task.
The song she featured Shatta Wale on is titled ‘Already’.
BACKGROUND
Ghana’s dancehall music star Shatta Wale has been featured on Beyoncé ‘s album for the remake of Lion King movie.
Beyoncé curated two albums featuring international artistes for the Lion King movie which are called Spirit and The Gift.
It is on The Gift album which will be released on July 19, 2019, which has Beyoncé featuring Shatta Wale on a song titled Already.
The album features other African stars with the likes of Mr Eazi, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Yemi Alade, Tekno among others.
The names were publised on Beyounce’s official website.
