Spare parts Dealers in the Ashanti regional capital of Kumasi are purturbed over the current rate of the dollar which is inundating our cedi
According to the C.E.O of BASFAM ENTERPRISE he vocalised that, spare parts dealing has gone down because , during the past Government , they used to complain about how poor sales was but comparing from the mid of the year 2017 to date, they have lost market share and within a week, he doesn’t even make 500 cedis which is affecting them.
However, he imports truck spare parts , batteries and engine oil from turkey
and anytime he flies out from the country to purchase these goods, the price of the commodity is always increasing and when you increase the price here too in Ghana after importation, customers will abandone your product which is one of their major problem which they have complain over it several times but until now there’s no tangible feedback .
Also, after goods arrives at Tema port, Ghana ports and harbour authorities too have their maximum charges which should be paid before your goods will be given out to you.
He added that, govt should stabilize the cedis to help improve their business.
lasttly , if justice is not taken on the dollar, they will advice their selves because they also pay huge amount of tax to the government.
