Zinedine Zidane responds to Gareth Bale messing around on Real Madrid’s bench

Zinedine Zidane insists he has ‘no complaints’ about Gareth Bale after he continued to fool around in the stands during Real Madrid’s clash with Granada on Monday evening.

Last week, the Wales international pulled his face mask over his eyes and pretended to sleep whilst sat on the bench during Madrid’s victory over Alaves.

The 30-year-old, who is on a £600,000-a-week contract at Madrid, has now been left on the bench for the third game in a row and hasn’t featured for the Spanish club in their last five matches.

And during Madrid’s 2-1 win over Granada, Bale was joking around again as he made a binoculars gesture with a roll of medical tape.

When asked about Bale after Madrid’s win over Granada, Zidane said: ‘I have no complaints about Bale, absolutely none.

‘We are all in this together and thinking about winning the remaining matches to win La Liga.’

Madrid are now on the brink of winning the La Liga title as a win over Villarreal on Thursday evening will guarantee them the trophy.

But when asked if his side are closer to the title after their ninth league victory in a row, Zidane replied: ‘No, there are two games left.

‘We have a game at home now that is very difficult against an opponent who plays well.’
