An activist of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Priscilla Heman Adiepena has taken to social media to attack the person of the First Lady of the Republic, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, describing her as having “no shape”, “no curves and “looks like a schnapp bottle”.
The lady NDC activist also attacked Electoral Commission boss Jean Mensah as someone who “looks like transgender”.
In a post sighted by MyNewsGh.com, Prissy Hemans chose to attack the First Lady and the EC boss after an activist of the ruling New Patriotic Party described actress Lydia Forson as a fat pig following a series of opinions the actress voiced which were critical to government.
“… Do you know Rebecca Akufo-Addo looks like a schnapp bottle? The ones used at shrines for rituals and use curse. No bend no curve and even fat…” the NDC activist dissed, adding that “there is no difference between she and the old malt bottle”.
While the First Lady is far away from the social media episode, the insults started when Lydia Forson reportedly said the insistence of the Electoral Commission (EC) on compiling a new voters register means the Electoral Commission has a hidden agenda which is suspicious. Ms. Forson added later that “there’s nothing NDC is doing in opposition that NPP didn’t do, and NPP in power is doing a lot of what NDC also did in power”, comments which led NPP social media activists to attack her.
Following from this, an NPP-affiliated facebook account “Cobby SCratch” called out Lydia Forson as looking fat like a pig for speaking against the EC.
This prompted the NDC activist Prissy Hemans to reply by attacking the First Lady and Jean Mensah as shapeless and transgender respectively.
According to her, Lydia Forson’s body will hold some water when it is poured on her because she is not shapeless.
“… Don’t let us go far do you know Rebecca Akufo-Addo looks like a schnapp bottle? The ones used at shrines for rituals and use curse. No bend no curve and even fat in addition but wait! There is no difference between she and the old malt bottle. Even the EC woman you are trying to defend nu looks like transgender. Don’t rush to body shame ok” part of the post read.
The post has since been taken down following huge criticism of the NDC activist from both her party members and members of the ruling party. She has not apologized yet.
