You pocketed $28M For V8s But Fighting Government Over E-Levy- NPP Secretary Attacks NDC

Mr. David Boakye, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP Bono )’s East regional secretary, has spoken out against the minority in Parliament’s determination to oppose the government over the E-Levy.

The NPP officer argues that the minority should have exhibited the same zeal in resisting the E-levy when the government handed them $28 million for new Toyota V8s.

“They made no comment when the government granted them $28 million.” Mr. Boakye remarked on Wontumi TV, which was monitored that none of them complained it was too much and that the government should keep a portion of the money.

They should have “stood up to the government when $28 million was granted to them for their V8s,” he continued.

The introduction of the E-levy, he declared strongly, would bring development to Ghanaians and should not have been dismissed by the minority.
