Black Stars Head Coach, Charles Akonnor has named a strong starting eleven to face Ethiopia in the 2022 World Cup qualifier, Citi Sports reports.
The starting lineup sees the return of goalkeeper Richard Ofori who missed Ghana’s friendly against Ivory Coast due to injury.
Crystal Palace’s Jeffrey Schlupp is called in midfield after missing out when Ghana last played at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Akonnor also handed a starting place to Rennes’ new signing Kamaldeen Sulemana in the game against the Walia Ibex of Ethiopia.
Notable names like skipper Andre Ayew and his brother, Jordan together with Mubaraka Wakaso and Baba Rahman have all been called to start.
The return of Jonathan Mensah sees him sit on the bench as Alexander Djiku keeps his place in the starting lineup.
The Group G encounter between Ghana and Ethiopia will kick off at 1900GMT on Friday, September 3, 2021. It will be live on major television channels and radio stations.
