Woman allegedly kills 7 people with Antoa

Bechem is where a 39 year old Frema Fordjour has killed 7 people with Antoa god; a lesser god known publicly for killing people.

Ghana has so many gods such as Antoa, Nogokpo, Amponyinamoa, Ashiakie, Amelenwa, Akonadi and the rest. There is not a single one of these gods which is popular for blessing people. All of them are popular for killing. I have never heard anyone say “Antoa bless you”. Everyday, every minute is Antoa will kill you. Gangster gods I think.

Seven people have died mysteriously from Bechem of the Ahafo Region formerly Brong Ahafo. All indications have been pointed to one Frema Fordjour who deliberately cursed unknown people with Antoa in January.

According to Sarpong Ntiamoah, the father of Frema, he was there when concerns were raised that his daughter Frema has had a fight with the community and has called Antoa god to strike on them. Frema is believed to have made the curse on the 1st day February this year but nobody took it seriously until today.

Two goats believed to be Frema’s were stolen on January 27th by unknown people. Frema then took to streets announcing of her missing goats but were never found. She then waited until 1st February before cursing the people who stole her animals. According to the father, she used 3 locally produced eggs and one schnapp and called on Antoa god to kill anyone who stole the goats and used anyone who ate the goat meat for thanksgiving.

Frema is mentally unstable due to an accident she had while growing up so residents of her community did not take her word and the curse for it.

It has been recorded that, on the same day Frema announced of her missing goats, that same day Ante Afia a chop bar owner in the community purchased two goats from one Stephen Owusu who is among those believed to have been killed by Antoa. According to Ante Afia’s son Kojo Jumbo, her mother complained of headache on Monday, took first aid but died on Tuesday morning mysteriously. Stephen Owusu died on Monday complaining of the same headache in the morning and dying in the evening. Kofi Nimako, Konadu Kofi, Yeboah Gyima, Maame Akosua, and Abena Yeboah all complained of headache and died today. The highest number of death the community has ever recorded. These were all frequent customers of Ante Afia, the chop bar owner who died on Tuesday morning.

People were quick to line their cause of death to Frema’s curse because they are all regular customers of Ante Afia. Preparations are been made for Frema and her father to go Ejisu in the Ashanti Region to make sacrifice and stop the curse as the seven people who have died are not the only people who eats at Ante Afia’s chop bar.

Chief priest of the community has confirmed their death may be link but interpretation can be acquired from the Antoa chief priest.

Frema have denied to comment on the issue but his father thinks the cause of the seven deaths is due to her daughter’s curse. According to him if Frema had used the person who stole the goat only for the curse, all the others would have been alive. He said he will do everything within his power to make sure her daughter avert the curse in order to stop the killing.

Calls were made to the local divisional police command but was told nothing can be done to prosecute or arrest Frema as there is no physical evidence that proves her involvement in their death.

Legally, Ghana courts does not settle spiritual cases and nothing can be done to Frema even if she is responsible for their death when Antoa chief priest says.

Frema, her father and three people from the community chief’s palace will make the trip to Ejisu tomorrow morning to seek counselling on the matter from Antoa chief priest.
