Wiamoase traders threatens ‘demo’ against gov’t over wretched market facility

Traders of Agona-Wiamoase in the Afigya sekyere South District of the Ashanti Region have threatened to demonstrate against President Akuffo Addo led government over it neglegence on their dilapidated market facility.

According to the traders, it becomes difficult for customers to enter into the market to purchase their goods and stuffs whenever it rains. They said, the market becomes flooded and muddy after every downpour which also turned to destroy their products, goods and stuffs.

Speaking to the media, they lamented that, the hectic situation in the market now has become unbearable where complaints have been made to authorities to intervene but had proven futile.

“It difficult to get place to attend to nature call in the but wiamoase market the largest market in the district but see the state of it” they lamented

They therefore send a word of caution to the government through the District Assembly, that if the government fail to respond to this problem facing them at market, they will advise themselves coming next 2024 election and also to demonstrate against the government.

Meanwhile, the Assembly Member for Wiamoase Ankaase electoral area, Hon. Anass Zakaria confirmed the matter and noted that the market has been neglected by the Assembly but assured the traders that, just as the Assembly came in to support when part of the market broke down, it is going to be discuss in their next General Assembly meeting.
