Which Phone Did God Use To Call You On Building Cathedral? – Kwesi Pratt Pokes Akufo-Addo

Akufo-Addo

Senior Journalist and Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr says that all the people who are supporting and pushing for the building of the National Cathedral are destroying the image of their God.

Mr. Pratt opined when he appeared as guest panelist on the “Good Morning Ghana” show on Metro TV this morning.

The building of the National Cathedral has provoked discussions in the media and public space and has even gained more traction after revelation by the member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency that a whopping amount of $25m has allegedly been released by the Finance Ministry to the company handling the project.

“Why must a personal pledge by the President to his God be funded with taxpayers’ money? His God is not necessarily the God of all Ghanaians. If I were their God I would be very angry because they are portraying me as an insensitive and egocentric God. With all the challenges confronting this country, they God does not expect a building in His name”.

He was of the view that the government lied to Ghanaians that it was not going to use the taxpayers’ money per the alleged released funds.

He advised that the government listen to the people and set it’s priorities right because a Cathedral isn’t needed at this point in time.
