WhatsApp is used by an estimated two billion people around the globe – but now users will be able to filter through their messages much more easily as the company announces three new impending changes to its WhatsApp Business platform.
WhatsApp users may soon find it a lot easier to sift through messages, as the platform teases three new features coming to the app in the near future.
The Meta-owned platform is soon expected to roll out a host of improvements for users of WhatsApp Business accounts.
WhatsApp Business is used by many firms as a convenient way of providing customer service, with the app providing an easy way to request an update on delivery or ask a question.
Considering how many messages some companies would receive from customers, it’s understandable that they may need extra help sorting through them all.
The messaging platform has already made it easier to find specific media in chats, enabling people to sort between links, media and documents.

But according to The Sun Online , this latest update will let businesses go one step further in searching through chats.
They will be able to sort chats out between contacts, non-contacts and unread chats, in a move aiming to help businesses improve customer service.
So far, the new options have popped up on WhatsApp Business beta, the app’s tester version, though they are expected to drop on both iOS and Android at some point soon.
WABetaInfo, who revealed the feature, said: “WhatsApp is not planning to release it on WhatsApp Messenger, since they are more useful on WhatsApp Business”.
However, two new features are also expected to be rolled out in the near future for regular WhatsApp users.

The company is currently testing a brand new look for a key part of the app – the chat list – in a move aiming to simplify the appearance of the feature.
WhatsApp site WABetaInfo reported that the redesign will “make the chats list very clean”.
“In particular, they are planning to remove the row where you can open your broadcast lists and create new groups.”
The firm is also reportedly developing a better way for you to see when people are talking about you; tech giant Meta is working on a better way to let you know whenever you’ve been mentioned in chats you’re a part of.
The change will mean you’ll have a better idea of who has mentioned you or replied to you within groups, by notifying you with the profile photo of the person who has used your name or replied to you.
WhatsApp has lost a lot of users over the last year due to ongoing privacy concerns around its new terms of service.
WhatsApp has traditionally marketed itself on offering secure, encrypted messaging, but announced wildly unpopular changes to the way it handles user data.
These changes would have seen user data handed to private companies to aid in marketing.
