We’ve Seen The Worst, Sammy Gyamfi Is Nothing To Worry About- Obiri Boahen

Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Obiri Boahen has charged the party to discard any perception that the National Communications Officer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, is a threat to the NPP. According to him, the NPP has had the worst of his kind both in power and in opposition. He stressed that the young politician is a light-weight to the patriots in the elephant party.

Nana Obiri Boahen on the Seat Show of NET 2 Television last night, remarked that the NDC party is in shambles as some bigwigs and advocates have all distanced themselves from the party’s business ever since former President John Dramani was re-elected as the flagbearer. He mentioned that the likes of Fiifi Kwetey who were actively and convincingly pushing the NDC agenda in years past have all been sidelined giving Sammy Gyamfi, whom he identified as “a weak opponent”, to take charge of party communications.

“Why stress yourself with Sammy Gyamfi’s rants? We’ve had the worst of his kind. The Fiifi Kwetey’s and co were even daring than him. Even Fiifi Kwetey’s ‘Setting the records straight’ fell flat,” he justified.

Lawyer Obiri Boahen intimated that the Sammy Gyamfi’s rants are nothing the NPP should be bothered with. To him, the NDC party is handicapped and “its mainly because some party men have lost hope in the party.”

“So don’t make an issue out of that Sammy Gyamfi. That Sammy Gyamfi wouldn’t have found himself at that position if the NDC was indeed that powerful as it used to. You will see the elitist, rich and fine brains in there. It’s all because things have gotten out of hand.”
