Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, has indicated that the President Nana Akufo-Addo’s government has over the last three years succeeded in moving the Ghanaian economy away from taxation to production.
According to him, the Government has abolished a number of taxes in that regard.
He mentioned the abolition of the taxes on headpotters popularly known as kayayi, reduction in electricity tariffs, and the abolition of some other nuisance taxes over the last three years.
The Minister is presenting the 2020 Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the Government in Parliament
