Some disgruntled Nation Builders Corps (NABCo) trainees have begun work on a coffin as part of a new plan to make a living in Ghana.
This came after they were ordered to take two weeks off as part of the NABCO program’s exit plan, which is set to end this month, when the government sent out a letter informing all NABCO trainees that they must take two weeks off starting Monday, November 1st, and ending November 15th.
In an interview with Wish Media, several of the trainees indicated that because they don’t have a job and don’t trust the government, the only choice for them is to establish their own business, which appears to be selling coffins because it’s the only business that moves quickly.
“We have seen a lot of death day in and day out, and we believe that stating with coffin business would be something that can help,” “Some of our leaders may soon pass away, and who knows if one coffin can cost twice as much when they buy from our shop” they added.
Management, in cooperation with the National NABCO Secretariat, will plan and strategize on how to retain trainees for the Authority’s services in light of the government’s required leave for trainees.
Trainees should be aware that any comments received prior to the deadline will be provided in a timely manner. We’d like to use this opportunity to wish all trainees a relaxing vacation.
