The solid midfielder who plies his trade for English giant, Arsenal has received criticism from many Ghanaians for not living up to expectations.

In a new post he shared since the team exited the competition, the 29-year-old expressed his gratitude for Ghanaians’ unwavering support in a Facebook post.

He claimed that their greatest desire was to offer Ghanaians something to rejoice about, but that after Uruguay defeated the Black Stars, things didn’t turn out the way they had hoped.

“It was our biggest wish to give Ghanaians something to cheer about but unfortunately it didn’t go as we wanted. I want to say a huge thank you for the unconditional support from home and across the world. With the support of God we will come back stronger🙏,” his post reads.
