Residents of Accra Newtown, Kotobabi
and it’s environs calls on government to provide them with traffic lights to cut down lost of lives.
In an interview with some residents,they said,if traffic lights are provided on the roads it will reduce the occurrences of accident and also help them in their daily activities.
Also,they complained that pedestrians finds it difficult when crossing the road most especially school children since there are no road signs as well. The absence of traffic lights and road signs make drivers and also motor riders drive and ride recklessly which sometimes causes series accidents.
Cars and the motor riders always rush out with speed without limitations.
They concluded by saying that,they have reported on the provision of traffic light on their roads several times but nothing has been done.
They are therefore pleading with the government to come to their aid by mounting some of the traffic lights and Road signs to ease tensions on their roads.
