The Multipurpose Sports Complex facility in the Upper West Region is one of the interventions carved out by the Akufo Addo government to reignite Sports activities in the country.
Sporting activities in the Upper West Region are set to receive a massive facelift with the completion of the youth multipurpose sports complex erected in the regional capital, Wa.
The much-awaited Sports facility is close to completion with virtually all sectors of the edifice ready for usage including the playing field.
After touring the facility, it has been established that the volley court, basketball court, handball, tennis field, Supporters stand and the playing pitch are all ready to be put to action.
The only missing factor in the facility is the athletic oval that is awaiting finishing for the project to be handed over.
Once completed, the facility is expected to be used by all 11 Districts in the Upper West Region including the second cycle school games.
An estimated 10,000 fans are expected to occupy the multifaceted sports facility when completed.
