Popular Kumawood actor, Kwaku Manu has backed Abraham Attah’s decision not to feature in any local movie in Ghana.

He claims that Abraham Attah risks destroying his career by featuring in local movies.

Abraham Attah in an interview with Ibrahim Ben-Bako of JoyNews on his arrival from the United States disclosed that he will not feature in any local movie.

He said that Hollywood is more fun as compared to Ghana so he would love to ply his trade in the US.

The ‘Best Male Lead’ award winner at the 31st Film Independent Spirit Awards hinted that his manager is working on some international movie deals for him and hopes they will materialise soon. He also disclosed that there are plans for him to school abroad very soon.

Kwaku Manu, apart from urging Abraham not to do local movies, also advised him not to stay in Ghana but go back to the United States of America and ply his trade there.

Speaking to Adom Entertainment News, Kwkau Manu said he sees Abraham Attah’s decision as a step in the right direction.

Known for his colloquial catch-phrase, ‘Am Love you,’ Kwaku Manu also called on critics of Abraham Atta to tap into the anointing of the young actor and stop mocking him, describing the criticisms as ‘highly unnecessary’.

“If you see that God has blessed someone just tap into it. Who cares about English?” he quizzed.

Kwaku Manu added that Ghanaians are becoming too obsessed with English. “Who cares if the boy cannot speak English? The boy is meeting the Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur yet many actors have never got that opportunity.”
