Obofour and his wife, Ciara, were seen dressed in all black apparels at the funeral grounds.
As they moved, other mourners approached them and tried to breach their security to see them with their naked eyes. Others could also be heard chanting the name of his church, APC, while he waved and smiled at the crowd. Also prominent of Obofour’s presence was the long convoy in which he arrived at the funeral grounds and also left. The fleet of luxurious sports cars and SUV’s which were spotted in the convoy included Benz saloon cars, Lexus, Maybach, Toyota Land Cruisers among others. All the cars had customised ‘Obofour’ number plates.
Apart from showing off these cars, Obofour’s cheers at the funeral hit a crescendo when he splashed some cash on the crowd gathered at the funeral before leaving the grounds.
While Obofour earned himself many admirers, Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong who was also at the funeral has slammed those who followed him. According to the controversial MP, by their conduct of following and chasing Obofour around, the people were risking their lives unnecessarily as a stampede could have occurred. Speaking on his NET2 TV station days after the funeral, Ken Agyapong wondered why people would behave like they had seen Jesus while it was their own money (offertory) that was sustaining Obofour and other such pastors.
