‘VGMA Ban on Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale should not be lifted,Shatta Wale Not Bigger Than VGMA’-Rex Omar.

Highlife great, Rex Omar has disclosed in the wake of the nomination for entries as regard Vodadone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) that the ban on Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale should not be lifted.

Speaking to 3FM, Rex Omar said both Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale are not bigger than the entertainment industry hence Charterhouse should never lift the ban they placed on them to serve as deterrent to others.

His comment also follows calls by neutrals for the two Dancehall heavyweights to be reinstated into the prestigious award scheme after they were banned for taking their age long feud to another level during the last edition of the VGMAs.

“Principles are principles; if the organizers, Charterhouse wants continuation of what happened then Charterhouse should lift the ban. If someone had died that very night, and the one who killed the person went to jail, and because of Presidential pardon he came back from jail, would we still allow that person back in the Scheme?”, Rex quizzed.

He further added: “No matter how big both Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale are, they are not bigger than the Ghana Entertainment Industry. Charterhouse should not nominate them at all.”
