Under Akufo-Addo this country is in trouble than never seen since Independence -Kwesi Pratt

Kwesi Pratt Jnr deeply lamented this after about the fate of Ghana under the leadership of Akufo Addo. Speaking this afternoon on the 2021 budget statement and related issues on the ALHAJI AND ALHAJI show on the Pan African Television, he didn’t take it mild with the current government.

You have borrowed so much that when you add all our revenue and the gifts(Grants) given to us by other countries, we are using 91% of the accumulated revenue an the grants on debt servicing and debt repayment” He said according to the government’s spokesperson, Hon Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, “there is a huge deep black hole on the economy”

He again said the current government has praised themselves in the management of the corona virus to be one best governments to take the most appropriate measures to curb the pandemic.

“Let’s even pretend they took the necessary measures to combat the disease, but why should Ghanaians be taxed to generate revenue for the fight against the virus?” Where are the contributions and donations made by individual organizations, philanthropists and private citizens to help fight the disease? “Should we be increasing VAT to manage corona virus? I am embarrassed! I feel ashamed! I feel being used. What is happening?”

He said in 2016, the current vice president called the then government an “insensitive government” for increasing petroleum prices but Today, Ghanaians are slapped with increments petroleum prices. The NPP said in 2016 that Ghanaians are sitting on money and we are battling hunger and poverty. But when they came did absolutely nothing to make our situation better.
