UCC student sentenced to six months in prison for stealing his own phone

The University of Cape Coast District Police Commander, Superintendent Fii Okyere, at the SRC KICK OUT COVID-19 CAMPAIGN launch, announced that a student of the University of Cape Coast arrested recently for stealing his roommates’ phones together with his own had been sentenced to six months improsonment after facing trial.

Upon further probing, it was revealed that the theft case occurred in the Kwame Nkrumah Hall, and, the Cape Coast High Court passed this judgement on Friday 9th April.

The Police Commander also emphasized that the police command will prosecute all cases where anyone found culpable while also encouraging all students to protect themselves and their property.

The Commander also commended the SRC for the Kick Covid-19 Out Campaign and urged all students to get involved and continue adherence to the COVID protocols.
