A woman who said she loved “showing off how much I love my profession and looking beautiful while teaching kids” has hit back after being fired for dressing in outfits deemed inappropriate
A teacher has claimed that she was given the boot by her school because she was too sexy in the classroom.
Year one Patrice Brown insists she experienced bullying before being dismissed by her former school in Atlanta.
The principle of the school allegedly had an issue with the way she dressed for the classroom which included tight dresses and leggings.
The 33-year-old was the centre of a hashtag, #TeacherBae, in 2016 after an image of her in leopard print shoes circulated online.
Despite claiming the way she dressed fits within the city’s ‘vague’ guidelines, she was given the boot six years later.
Speaking to the New York Post she said: “I’d always go to work and take pictures of myself in the classroom setting, showing off how much I love my profession and looking beautiful while teaching kids.
“Teachers are often bullied [for their looks] by the administration, parents, other teachers, and in higher grades, the students.
“What teachers are wearing should not be the focus. The focus should be on the kids.”
Now, after being fired this summer, she says she has found a new teaching gig, again with year one kids.
