Travellers From Countries With More Than 200 Coronavirus Cases Banned From Entering Ghana

Ghana has banned travellers who want to come to the country but have been to any country that has been affected by the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) within the last 14 days.

This is part of measures being taken by the government to prevent the spread of the deadly disease in Ghana.The ban takes effect Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Ghana has so far confirmed  six cases of the Coronavirus disease.

As part of the travel advisory measures, government has “strongly discouraged” travelling into the country until further notice. A statement from the Ministry of Information on Sunday said however that Ghanaian citizens and persons with Ghanaian residence permits would be allowed into the country but would be made to observe a mandatory 14-day self quarantine.
