Since E-levy hits Ghana, it has kept the populous restless speakers. The nationals of Ghana have turned fighters of the controversial bill pending passage at parliament.
The bill sparked several debates in the country, dividing the citizens’ supporters and opposers. Already, E-levy scattered parliament led to chaos in December.
There are two expectations so far as E-levy is concerned. To be passed and to be reversed expectations.
Several politicians, economists and Ghanaians raise concern on the E-levy. Ghanaians forgetting that UK job system is better than Ghana have started comparing their 10% E-levy fee to that of Ghana’s 1.75 percent.
Also, people who have few ideas about the hardship of the country are hammering for the bill to be passed. However, the majority of the population are expecting the government to reverse the decision.
It’s at the back of this infamous E-levy that Ghana’s most opinionated musical act, Shatta Wale has admonished the incumbent government to listen to the concerns of the populace and stop behaving like Ghana is their bonafide property.
