As the cedi continues to decline the dollar, former President John Dramani Mahama has insulted Vice President Mahammudu Bawumia.
The former President said that the “hardship in the country has brought the country to a scale we have never seen in the last 30-years of our fourth republic” at the launch of the TEIN App on Monday at the UPSA Auditorium in Accra.
“Daily price hikes, gasoline price modifications, and a nose-diving currency have rather arrested the person who claimed to have arrested it.” He’s been detained by the dollar. So we’ve been looking for him but haven’t been able to locate him. We’ll ask the IGP for the key so we can figure out where our Vice President is.”
Mr Mahama claimed that the country’s hardship is due to the Akufo-Addo administration’s mismanagement.
“We have come together at a time when our country is experiencing economic and social difficulties. The Akufo-Addo government, which came to office on the back of mouth-watering promises to improve Ghanaians‘ lives and assure the country’s speedy progress, has mismanaged the economy so horribly. We are in the midst of the most crippling economic catastrophe in our four-decade history.
“Indeed, we all recall those tantalizing promises, especially the present President’s promise to transform Ghana in 18 months,” he continued.
