The $800,000 Belong To Me – Cecilia Dapaah Tells Court

The details surrounding the origin of the $800,000 in Cecilia Dapaah’s money heist appear to be evolving daily.

The widow of the deceased brother, Irene Irene Kensah, who initially was unaware of the existence of the $800,000, has also retained the services of a lawyer to recover the amount owed to them since Mr. Adom Otchere came out and claimed that the $800,000 of the millions found in the Former Minister’s home belonged to the deceased brother of Cecilia Dapaah.

In order to expose Mr. Adom Otchere and Cecilia Dapaah for their intentional lies to defame a deceased guy, neighbours of the deceased brother also came forward to share the story of the late shoe-maker

In a swift move to avoid any further problems and public embarrassment for the former minister for Sanitation and Water resources, the charge sheets have been amended.

In the amended charge sheet, it is stated that;

“Patience Botwe (hairdresser) and Sara Agyei (unemployed) sometime in the year 2022 at Abelemkpe in the Greater Accra region and within the jurisdiction of this court, did dishonestly appropriate cash the sum of Eight Hundred Thousand United States dollars ($800,000) the property of Cecilia Abena Dapaah”

The former minister and her husband are reported lost several millions of cedis stolen in their home by their domestic staff.

The Special Prosecutor’s office is now looking into the case.

A Ghanaian living in the US has also requested that Cecilia Dapaah be looked into by the FBI and other US authorities.
