Tension In Ashanti Region NPP As 1st Vice Chair Drags Manhyia North Constituency Executive To Disciplinary C’tee

Kwabena Senkyire, the NPP’s First Vice Chair in the Ashanti Region, has petitioned the party’s regional executive committee to summon Manhyia North Youth Organizer Abdul Mumuni Castro for allegedly defaming him on radio.

In his appeal, Mr Senkyire requests that the executive committee take disciplinary action against the constituency executive for allegedly making false accusations against him.

“Party member Abdul Mumuni Castro, who is the Youth Organizer for Manhyia North, has misbehaved in plain violation of article 4 clause 7 (1) b,g, and f of the NPP constitution,” he said.

The appeal follows a radio interview made by the respondent Abdul Mumuni Castro on Akoma FM’s current affairs and politics show GhanAkoma on Thursday, February 10 in which Kwabena Senkyire claimed he was subjected to alleged discriminatory remarks.

“Abdul Mumuni Castro repeatedly mentioned on Akoma FM on the said date, and I quote, ‘Manhyia North Constituency problem is Kwabena Senkyire and Kwabena Senkyire is Manhyia North Problem,’ which he further alleged that I Kwabena Senkyire has teamed up with the incumbent Member of Parliament Akwasi Konadu to cause problems in the Constituency to the extent that I have even instigated some people to take

As enshrined in Article 4 Clause 7 (1g) of the party’s constitution, Mr Senkyire believes the claims have thrown the party’s name and his own self into dishonor, and thus he requests that a disciplinary process be initiated to investigate the petition.
