Stubborn Ofori-Atta Is The Cause Of Ghana’s Economic Woes – Akandoh

Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, a ranking member of Parliament’s Health Committee, claims that Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta is the most difficult person to work with.

He stated the laid-back minister has made things ‘very tough’ for his committee and does not follow directions from other parliamentary committees.

Mr Mintah Akandoh, on the other hand, described Mr Ofori-Atta as “stubborn” and a “pretender,” and stated his working experience with him was “not the finest.”

“When he [Ken Ofori-Atta] comes to parliament for something, he’ll be very courteous to everyone, and then he’ll reveal his actual personality.” He is deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deaf

“In my whole political career, I have never encountered a finance minister as obstinate as Ken.” In an interview on NEAT FM’s morning show, ‘Ghana Montie,’ he told Kwesi Aboagye, “He is the root of Ghana’s difficulties and economic failures.”

Mr Mintah Akandoh was speaking about allegations that Ken Ofori-Atta has not paid National Health Insurance (NHIA) levies into the National Health Insurance Fund since July 2021.

This event, according to the Juaboso MP, will have negative consequences for regular Ghanaians.

“Since July 2021, the Minister of Finance has failed to pay the National Health Insurance Fund the levies received in the name of the National Health Insurance Levy, and as a result, service providers for the plan are threatening to withdraw their services.” This is how awful things are,” he said in a press conference in Parliament on Thursday.
