Asamoah Gyan, the country’s all-time leading scorer, has asked Ghanaians to pray for the Black Stars’ success in the 2022 FIFA World Cup competition in Qatar later this week.
They’ve spoken about the team enough, he says; now is the time for Ghanaians to stop talking and start cheering for the squad in Qatar.
Gyan, 37, has asked all Ghanaians to support the team as they take on the rest of the world this month and in December. Gyan is the African footballer with the most goals at the FIFA Mundial.
“Everyone has shared his or her opinion about the BLACK STARS. 26 man squad is out now so what we have to do now is to support those in camp now.”
“If u have any comments, wait till after the first game of the tournament. But for now , let’s pray for the team to deliver”, the Ghana all time top scorer tweeted.
On November 24 in Doha, Qatar’s Stadium 974, Ghana will kick off their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign against European powerhouse Portugal.
The Black Stars will play Asian superpower South Korea four days later at Al Rayyan’s Education City Stadium.
The group stage for the Black Stars, who are competing in their fourth FIFA tournament, will conclude with a match against Uruguay at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah.
