Businessman-turned-politician Mr. Akwasi Addai “Odike” has incited Muslims to reject gifts showered on them by executives of NPP and NDC during Ramadan occassions.
Offers dashed out to brothers and sisters of the Islamic faith according “Odike” are products of diabolic strategies aimed at controlling the minds of Muslims for electoral advantage.
The founder and leader of United Progressive Party (UPP) gave a hot- puch statement that majority of the so called acts of benevolence displayed by executives of NPP and NDC to Muslims during Islamic festivities are not gifts from the heart.
“…they do that to buy the conscience of Muslims. I want to inform all members of the Islamic faith that most of the so called gifts given to you(Muslims) are not from their (NPP and NDC) hearts…
The mindset behind their generosity towards you (Muslims) is to buy your conscience for votes. All Muslims listening to me must understand that they don’t truly love you…
If what they (NPP and NDC) offer you is a demonstration of love,then they should instead donate to the number of orphanage homes in the country because there are well to do Muslims who can do more that.
…How many times you heard a report of NPP or NDC as a body giving out gifts to orphanage homes in Ghana? They must put a stop to this else God will never give us our much expected blessings” he roared like a wounded lion on Nhyira Fm 104.5 mhz morning show program hosted by Kofi Asante Ennin.
The foregoing modus operandi of NPP and NDC per the statement of Mr. “Odike” is the strategy employed by whites to exercise economic control over the blacks.
“Whites have utilized this principle since colonial era to strip us of our economic freedom. NPP and NDC are doing same to our Muslim brothers and sisters. They should put a stop to that!” he cautioned.
