SSNIT important notice to the general public of a fake Social Media account

The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) wish to notify the general public of a fake account to scam money from it’s clients.

Not long ago, the management of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) informed the general public of the commencement of sales of the newly completed Osei Tutu II Estate affordable housing project at Asokore- Mampong, Kumasi.

The project was one of the affordable housing initiative started in 2006. That of the Osei Tutu II Estate affordable housing was stalled on 2009 and in 2015, the government handed it over to SSNIT for completion which was completed according and had began the sales. The project was aimed at providing accomodation to low and middle income workers, create jobs and build local contractors capacity.

In just a few month after the commencement of sales by the management of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust, a scammer has opened a fake account to dub clients. According to SSNIT in a disclaimer notice of the fake account SSNITGHANA@SSNITGHANA1.

The fake account has every description similar to the official notice of SSNIT with regards to the sales of the project. The general public is advised not to transact any business through that fake account.

The facility is a 91 block of 1,024 housing units of two and one flats set on a well scaped environment. It has a police station and a community shop managed by the facility manager. It is equipped with complementary infrastructures such as tarred internal road network with drains, paved walkways and paved car park.

The facility was a testament to the commitment of the Trust to reduce housing deficit in Ghana as the high urbanization, migration to cities comes with increasing housing demands. The housing deficit on Ghana is about 1.7 million and 90 percent of housing supply in Ghana is built incrementally.

People who want to purchase or make enquiry can either contact the facility manager at the site or use the official SSNIT contact numbers to avoid these scammers who are every where. Attached is the disclaimer notice.
