A 35 year-old Mallam Sulemana Mumuni Tanko has been arrested by the Awutu Ofaakor District Police Command for allegedly poisoning his client Anita Walters in a hotel room and taking away her 10,000 Dollars.
According to the police, the deceased an accountant who works at Power Hydraulic company had taken the suspect as her spiritual guide.
The Awutu Ofaakor District Police Commander DSP Samuel Amfoh revealed that employers’ of the deceased decided to audit her after they suspected that a huge amount of money has been stolen from the company and that is when she decided to seek spiritual assistance.
DSP Samuel Amfoh indicated that the suspect invited the deceased to Boatemaa Hotel at Kasoa to help her spiritually so that management can not audit her.
Police say, upon arrival in the hotel room, the suspect mixed some substance believed to be poison after the Mallam found out that, the deceased is holding a huge amount of dollar currency in her bag.
He then poisoned and tied her and bolted with the money.
The Police who were informed about the incident arrived at the incident scene and rushed her to the 37Millitary hospital but was pronounced dead.
The suspect is in the custody of Kasoa Ofaakor Police assisting in investigations while the body has been deposited in the Mortuary.
