Some NPP MP’s Are Likely To Go Unopposed — John Boadu

The General Secretary for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) John Boadu has indicated that some Members of Parliament (MPs) of the NPP in the Ashanti Region are likely to go unopposed.

According to him, though the party is following all due processes in line with their constitution for the upcoming primaries, members in their various constituencies who fail to pick forms at the final filling day will have their MPs go unopposed.

The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) on January 20, 2020, officially opened the window for prospective parliamentary candidates to pick nomination forms at the constituency and regional offices of the party to contest in the September parliamentary primaries.

In an interview, the General Secretary of the NPP John Boadu said: “National Chairman of the NPP Freddy Blay and other national executives will today, Friday, January 24, 2020, take the Regional Executive Committee and constituencies executives through the process of filling forms and vetting”.

He added that the party will officially open nomination in the Ashanti Region today, Friday 24th January 2020.
