Six persons lost their lives while five others sustained varying degrees of injury in a road crash that occurred on Thursday night along Daura/Kano Road in Katsina State.
The accident which involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Peugeot J5 occurred at Chadi village in the Sandamu Local Government Area of the state.
The Federal Roads Safety Corps Sector Commander in Katsina, Ali Tanimu, confirmed the accident which he said occurred about 9pm on Thursday.
“The accident was due to a head-on collision between the two vehicles,” he added.
Our correspondent learnt that corpses of the victims had been deposited at the Daura General Hospital morgue, while those who sustained injuries were being treated at the hospital.
