One of Ghana’s top musicians, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has touted one of the projects implemented by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government.
In a post on Facebook, the Shatta Movement leader spoke highly of one of NPP’s flagship projects—One District One District ahead of the 2020 general elections.
He detailed how the Juaben Oil Mill has helped produce palm oil products.
A flyer shared by Shatta Wale also revealed the number of people who have been employed through the project which was funded by the Ghana Exim Bank.
He wrote: “Remember all the foods and products made from Palm Oil back in the day? Can you name some? Juaben Oil Mill, which is proudly funded by Ghana Exim Bank under 1D1F, is processing palm oil for consumption, export and electricity! The factory has made this possible through innovation and the support of its dedicated women employees. #Gexim #MadeInGhana.”
His post received mixed reactions as some of the commenters think he has been ‘bought’ to make such posts.
As usual, some die-hard fans were there to defend.
Whether his post has a political linkage or not, we are not the ones to decide, also do not forget that Shatta Wale is an Ambassador for the Ghana Exim Bank.
