Shatta Wale And Kuami Eugene Were Paid For Their Appearance At The Covid-19 Virtual Concert – Captain Smart break Silence

Seasoned journalist and on-air personality, Captain Smart has insisted that, artistes that performed at the recently held Covid-19 Virtual Concert were paid, contrary to claims made by the government that the artistes performed for free.

The Virtual Concert was organised by the Ministry of Information to create awareness about the deadly virus and launch the Covid-19 App. Artistes on the bill were  Fancy Gadam, Bukom,  Banku, Great Ampong, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, Lucky Mensah and Evangelist Diana Asamoah, Shatta Wale and Kuame Eugene.

Captain Smart said even though the Ministry of Information revealed that, none of the artiste, including ‘almighty’ Shatta Wale wasn’t paid for the concert his own investigation reveals the likes of Wale and Kuami Eugene were paid handsomely.

He quizzed,“If you do work for someone and you’re paid for it. But the person goes about saying you did it for free, send the money back to that person because it is a curse to receive money and pretend you didn’t. Why did you perform at the virtual concert and you got paid but the Minister comes out to say you didn’t take any money?”.

Mr Smart then went on to reveal that, the musicians were paid different huge sums ranging from GHC 5,000 to GHC 100,000, adding that when footballers get paid huge sums, Ghanaians should not complain.
