As the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was in parliament today by provision of article 67 of the 1992 constitution of the Republic of Ghana to give an address of the State of the Nation (SONA) which will be his last for his first term office as president until re-elected again in the upcoming December 7, presidential and parliamentary elections.
The ceremony saw a lot of top personalities in the house of parliament to withness and grace the occasion such as former presidents, John Agyekum Kuffour, John Jerry Rawlings, former first ladies, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, Mrs. Ernestina Naado-Mills, and former second lady, Mrs. Matilda Amissah-Arthur amongst others.
But the most focused top personality our camera captured again today at the visitor’s up chamber stand of parliament is the general captain of the Ghana National football team, the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan who was in all black seated gently as he listened to the president address the nation
This seems to be the first time ever seeing the African top scorer at the World Cup tournament grace such occasion
