The National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku and Youth Organizer Henry Nana Boakye, aka Nana B, have reiterated their resolve to help the ruling party to retain political power in 2020.
As part of efforts to help the current Akufo-Addo administration to win next year’s election, the two and other organizers travelled to France to carry out some key assignments that would help the NPP in the 2020 general elections.
During the maiden meeting with the NPP organizers in the Diaspora,’ Mr Awuku educated the NPP members in the Diaspora on modern campaign strategies.
Other members of the delegation include Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong, CEO of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), CEO of State Housing Company, Nana Appiah Mensah and CEO of National Food Buffer Stock Company, Hanan Abdul-Wahab.
Also present were Director of the Free Zones Company, Habib Iddrisu and NPP’s Director of International Affairs, Emmanuel Attafuah-Danso and other party leaders in Europe and Canada.
Mr. Awuku and his team on the first day of the programme met the NPP leadership in France to obtain first-hand information about their challenges in that country.
The NPP National Organizer, after carefully listening to his hosts, admonished the NPP leadership in France to work together in order to help the NPP retain power in 2020.
On the second day, he shared his vast experience in political organization and planning with the about 22 NPP organizers from different countries and urged them to work hard.
Mr. Awuku explained how to effectively mobilize Ghanaians abroad since the Electoral Commission (EC) has given indications about the implementation of ROPAA during the 2020 polls.
According to him, the NPP would not take anything for granted, stressing the need for the NPP organizers to always unite and strategize to increase the party’s membership and votes during polls.
Ghanaian Community
Sammi Awuku and the others also took turns to update the Ghanaian community in France about the government’s programmes in Ghana.
The NPP National Organizer stated emphatically that the Akufo-Addo government has performed better than the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in just two-and-half-years.
“Our worst in two years would be the NDC’s best in 30 years,” he said.
Mr. Awuku appealed passionately to the electorate to renew the mandate of the NPP government in 2020 since the NPP has answers to Ghana’s problems.
Nana B, for his part, gave assurance that they would campaign vigorously to ensure that the NPP is retained in 2020.
All the CEOs also told Ghanaians what they were doing to make Ghana a better place for all.
