“Sack your incompetent C.I.D Boss, Mr President”- Clement Sarfo

The boss of the Criminal Investigation Department Maame Tiwaa Addo Dankwah has come under a lot of pressure in relation to the comments and issues evolving around the 3 Takoradi kidnapped girls.

Many people have said the CID Boss must resign or get fired from her position.

As a result a renowned Educationalist, Mr Clement Adjei Sarfo has voiced out that His Excellency Nana Addo must fire the CID Boss with immediate effect.

Why the pressure on President?

CID Boss,Maame Tiwaa Addo Dankwah claimed in a televised press conference that the CID knew the whereabouts of the kidnapped girls and promised the girls would be reunited with their families “soon”.

After more than one month, without giving any update on the whereabouts of the missing girls, she now claims she was only trying to give hope to the families of the kidnapped girls.

“This is nothing short of unprofessional handling of such a delicate and sensitive matter”, Mr Clement Sarfo has stated.

Moreover, the CID Boss was the same woman whose voice was recorded by A- Plus in the corruption and bribery scandal that rocked the Jubilee House.
She claimed the voice was hers but it was doctored.

The said tape became subject of investigation but nothing resulted from the Ghana Police Service.
She was the then Deputy CID Boss.

CID Boss Promotion

Maame Tiwaa Addo Dankwah was the Deputy Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service and was elevated to the position, Acting Director-General of CID by the President.

She was later promoted to DCOP on November 1, 2017 and confirmed as CID Boss on January 24, 2018.

Most recently, she has been promoted to the ranked of Commissioner of Police (COP).

Consequently, there are discussions about her promotion to IGP and she has come out openly that she would grab the position with both hands.

However, her appointment as the CID boss from day one, was surrounded with suspicions.

“Judging by the actions and inactions of the CID Boss, a lot fly in the face of professionalism and competence”.

Her first major test of competence was the Kwesi Nyantakyi saga after the Anas Number 12 exposé.
“Till date we don’t fully know the facts of that investigation as a country”.

Again, her handling of the kidnap debacle is nothing less than abysmal.

Amidst of all of these unfortunate turn of events, Mr Clement Sarfo is shocked to learn that the same woman has the temerity to say she would have no problem if she is appointed as the IGP after the tenure of Mr Asante Appiatu.

The President of the country has not commented on the conduct, competence and professionalism of this woman since she assumed office in acting capacity and as substantive CID Boss.

The Educationalist claim that Nana Addo has no other option than to fire her just as he axed the BNI Boss.

“You must fire the CID Boss now; failure to do so Mr. President would be your tacit endorsement of her incompetence and unprofessional handling of issues under her purview.
Ghana deserves better, Ghanaians matter and every Ghanaian life is precious”.
The pronouncement of Mr Clement Sarfo.
