As part of calls to make sure The Ghanaian system works, a lady has given a chilling explanation as to how the Ridge hospital in Accra nearly overbilled her when she went to pay the remaining amount of a family member who passed on while receiving medical treatment at the hospital
Narrating her ordeal in a Facebook group known as “Tell it all” Victoria Nana Adjoa Borngreat said her cousin was on admission at the Ridge hospital in Accra but passed on unfortunately.
However, there was an amount of 3410 cedis to pay as the medical expenses of the deceased. As a health personnel as she is, she was alarmed at the amount and decided to do a scrutiny of the amount.
From her checks, it came out that the hospital through its billing system has added almost half of the original amount she was actually supposed to pay.
