Concern Youth of Old Drobo in the Jaman North District of the Bono Region are appealing to the former Member of Parliament for Jaman North and the current Deputy Bono regional minister, Hon Siaka Stevens to construct gutters in the town.
According to them, Hon Siaka Stevens promised to construct the gutters in the town during the election hence, dig the gutters in the town a week before the election but after the election left the gutters which puts community’s life in danger.
Speaking to the Convener, Kwang Fredrick (Awuche) stressed “Due to the nature of the gutters drivers in the town, we find it difficult to go to their various homes. When it rains school children also cannot go out let alone to go to school” he added
They further stated all the chipping that was supposed to use for the gutters has been washed away by the raining water.They said several complaint has been made through the assembly woman and the District Assembly but to all availed they are therefore appealing to president Nana Addo to come to their aid.
Kwang Fredrick, speaking to media on Sunday about current state of the road after the unknown Contractor abounded the gutter said the shoddy work done on the gutters has created deep cracks and holes in some sections of the road which is very dangerous for drivers and motor riders since falling in the area residents leaving many others injured and has attributed the nature of work to the unknown attitude of Ghanaian contractors.
