Remember what you did to Mahama and fix Dumsor now – Yvonne Nelson to Akufo-Addo

Actress Yvonne Nelson has gone berserk following the onset of “Dumsor” which is the intermittent supply of power and asking the President to fix the problem.

According to her, President Akufo-Addo needs to remind himself of the hot coals he together with other personalities heaved on the head of former President Mahama demanding him to fix the problem.

In a tweet, Yvonne Nelson said Ghanaians deserve better governance and leaders who are compassionate and ready to deal with the plights of the citizenry.

She wrote: Mr President @NAkufoAddo remember when @JDMahama was in Power? Remember the pressure everyone gave him, including you….because of DUMSOR? Ok good! FIX IT!!!! Ghanaians deserve BETTER! We are tired of LEADERS not caring about the PEOPLE. #dumsormuststop

In 2016, Yvonne Nelson together with other celebrities staged what was dubbed as the “Dumsor Vigil”. It was to protest the harsh conditions the Dumsor menace at the time has brought on Ghanaians and to demand a permanent solution.

Fast forward to 2021, there have been some pockets of Dumsor challenges in recent months and authorities and organizations in charge of Ghana’s power sector have predicted a load-shedding timetable that will guide Ghanaians when they are eventually hard-hit.

Yvonne Nelson believes President Akufo-Addo needs to revisit his notes and ensure that the  Dumsor menace is fixed as soon as Ghanaians demand because a sauce for the goose is equally a sauce for the gander.
