President John Dramani Mahama has congratulated young Ghanaian actor, Abraham Attah, for his recent success in the movie industry.

The 15-year-old actor won Best Male Lead for ‘Beasts Of No Nation’; his first role ever, at the 2016 Independent Spirits Awards.

A day after receiving the award he joined his fellow young actor, Jacob Tremblay, to present an award at the 2016 Oscars.

Attah made a statement in Toms Shoes on the Oscars red carpet. The “Beasts of No Nation” star wore a black pair to the big event, and now the brand is donating 10,000 pairs of shoes to children in need in Ghana.

The brand posted to Instagram, “We’re so grateful for Abraham Attah’s choice to wear #TomsShoes on the red carpet last night. We’re excited to give 10,000 pairs of shoes on his behalf to children of need in his home country of Ghana. Giving looks good on you, Abraham!”

President John Mahama on Tuesday, congratulated the young actor on Tweeter.

Congrats @AttahNii. Such a positive positioning of the Ghana brand. We can do with many more Abraham Attah’s. #BeastsOfNoNation.
