Pragia operators appeal to government to reduce fuel to sustain their business

Tricycle operators in the Tamale Metropolis are appealing to the government of Ghana to do something about an increment of the fuel as it is gradually collapsing their business.

According to them, they spent more money on buying fuel, which makes saving money a major problem on their part.

Some of the operators, speaking to the media said, increment of the fuel has made life unbearable for them and have contributed to the collapse of their business.

They indicated that customers find it difficult to adapt to an increment in which they use other alternatives at the expense of their business.

The drivers further explained that making sales to tricycle owners has become tough in addition to managing families in recent times.

The spokesperson for the Tricycle Operators Association, Ibrahim said, the fuel issue is something that is disrupting the progress in their work as a union because the more the increment, the lesser they become comfortable in the job that put food on their tables.

He added that some tricycle owners demand operators to always reach their required target yet that cannot be possible due to the nature of how the fuel prices have risen lately.

They have appealed to the government to consider their welfare when it comes to fuel price increment.
